Edom is loaded with a full day or two of great places to visit, elite art and crafts to admire, beautiful countryside, lots of friendly people and very interesting history.

Explore the unique experience of EDOM- with one downtown street, and a stop sign to remind you to slow down to enjoy life and stop and smell the flowers.

Downtown Edom, known as the “Art Center” of East Texas, is lined with charming shops that house unique artist studios, galleries and local crafts and gift shops.

Be sure to come hungry so you can enjoy one of the fine and famous restaurants and bakeries.

Strike up a conversation with some of the old timers around town and visit the Edom Historical Museum for a little history of the area.

Nothing is better than fresh fruits and vegetables.  You can pick your own Blueberries from a local blueberry farm and get fresh product from one of many local growers.

Be sure to stop at Edom’s area beautiful nurseries, tree farms and gardens where you will find the most unique and healthy plants for your own garden.

There are also many cattle dairies and ranches located in the Edom Community, including the famous Texas Longhorns.

If you would like to stay a day or two, consider staying the night in one of our beautiful bed and breakfasts, cabins, and cottages nestled in the beautiful natural woods of East Texas.

Edom is about 80 miles east of Dallas and 20 miles west of Tyler, easily acessible from I-20 at exit 540 and definitely worth the trip.
